The Best Movies of 2015
I don’t know about others but as for me, this year has flown, literally. I remember the last Christmas as if it was yesterday. 2015 was a great, wealthy year in matter of marvelous movies released. More or less patiently we awaited for our favourite franchise sequels to kick in the cinemas, some more successful than others.
Here is a list of the best movies of 2015, which were both a critical and commercial success. To be noticed the diversity of genres, of characters and themes.
1. Inside Out
I bet you contributed to those $851.6 million grossed by this American computer-animated film which was a pure joy watching it. The idea of seeing what is actually happening in the head of the people has fascinated both children and adults.
Probably the most emotional film of this year, Room delighted us with a unique story of a young boy who, until the age of five believes that the room he lives in with his mother is actually the whole world. Watch it and find out why the extremely protective mother kept him “captive” there. You might want to read the book first.
3. The Big Short
Although the film has a spectacular premise, I will just tell you the featuring amazing actors: Christian Bale, Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling, Brad Pitt, Karen Gillan and Marisa Tomei. Impressed much? Go watch it. Now.
4. Hearts of a Dog
Despite the fact that Heads of a Dog is seen as a documentary, it’s the most epic documentary I have ever seen. Not only the deep words of the wise Laurie Anderson but her voice compliments the film impressively.
This kind of movies based on real life events are meant to open our lives, break our happy little bubble and call us to action. You will feel both repulse to what it’s happening out there is the world, and an impulse to go do something, to stop living like the American dream is still real. Do what it’s right, but do something.
