On June 2, 2009 the third major title in the series, The Sims 3 was released. Within a period of 2 years, eight extensions have been released, along with The Sims Medieval and its extension, Pirates and Nobles.

31. The Sims 3, June 2, 2009
Many of the Sims’ 2 features are still in the game, but, of course new ones have been added. For example, a Sim can now look in a newspaper for a job and apply for it. Every career has a specific building in the town. A Sim can buy a business or work part-time. New skills include artisan, gambling, violin and dancing. You can edit your Sims’ life. A Sim can live between 25 and 960 days. Their need are: hunger, fun, social, energy, hygiene and bladder. Players can create twins, triplets, quadruplets.


32. The Sims 3: World Adventures, 17 November 2009
New features: the life state Mummy, you can explore new countries such as China, France, Egypt. New skills: nectar making, martial arts and photography.


33. The Sims 3: High-End Loft Stuff, 2 February 2010
The Sims celebrates 10 years and that brings back the heart shaped vibrating bed, the aquarium and the electric guitar from the previous games.


33. The Sims 3: Ambitions, 1 June 2010
New features: the town Twinbrook, 5 new professions: Architectural Designer, Ghost Hunter, Stylist, Investigator, and Firefighter.


34. The Sims 3: Fast Lane Stuff, September 7, 2010
New stuff: Clothing, furnishings and vehicles styles such as Racing, Rockabilly, Intrigue and Classic Luxury.


35. The Sims 3: Late Night, October 26, 2010
What we have new: the new neighborhood: Bridgeport, NPCs: Musicians, dilettantes, paparazzi, celebrities and bouncers; building tools: Penthouse lofts platforms, curved pools fountain tool, half-walls. Returning life state, vampires.


36. The Sims 3: Outdoor Living Stuff, February 1, 2011
New features: hot tubs, cozy fire pits and fireplaces.


37. The Sims Medieval, March 22, 2011
This is not the Sims you know, but you will love it. Everything looks and sounds medieval, so why don’t you just give it a go and enjoy your time traveling adventure?


38. The Sims 3: Generations, May 31, 2011
The expansion features pretty much all the everythings: new traits, new lifetime rewards, new parties, new profession, new creature: imaginary friend,new after school activities.


39. The Sims 3: Town Life Stuff, July 26, 2011
New goodies: Pre-Built Venues and Lots, high-tech gym equipment, jungle gym, slide, and sandbox for kids.


40. The Sims Medieval: Pirates And Nobles, August 30, 2011
The expansion has new pets, 12 new quests, new signature objects and over 140 pirate and nobility themed objects.
